Tulia Trust Uyole Cup – Empowering Youth Through Football
Tulia Trust Uyole Cup is a popular annual football tournament held at Mwawinji Stadium in Uyole, Mbeya. Sponsored by Tulia Trust, the tournament aims to empower local youth, nurture football talent, and support small-scale entrepreneurs in the region.
The 2025 season featured intense competition with 35 local teams, including Combine FC, Matanji FC, Mtoni FC, Nazi Boys, African Boys, Isyesye, Mbeya Smart, and Bandari Kavu. After an exciting series of matches, Itezi United emerged as champions in the final held on 5 September 2025, taking over from Benja FC, the 2024 winners.
All matches were hosted at Mwawinji Stadium, a key venue for community events in Uyole. The tournament not only promotes sports and healthy competition but also stimulates local economic activity by engaging vendors, artisans, and service providers during the event.
Tulia Trust n has committed to continue sponsoring the Uyole Cup for three more years beyond 2025, ensuring that it remains a platform for youth development, talent discovery, and community engagement in the Mbeya region.
