TULIA TRUST JOURNALISM AWARDS

Tulia Trust Journalism Awards are an annual initiative designed to recognize journalists whose work highlights development issues, governance, public health, education, and community empowerment across Tanzania.

Tulia Trust hosted the Tulia Trust Journalism Awards (TTJA) 2023/2024 on 1st August 2024 at Tughimbe Hall in Mbeya City, bringing together journalists and leaders to recognize impactful reporting that supports national development.

The event featured 157 participants across 16 categories, with winners receiving cash prizes of up to TZS 1,000,000, including a grand award for the overall winner.

The ceremony was officiated by Hon. Dr. Tulia Ackson and Hon. Juma Zuberi Homera, alongside regional and city leaders and media representatives.

Through the awards, Tulia Trust continues to encourage responsible journalism that strengthens transparency, accountability, and community development.
