Tulia Trust Health Insurance Programme
Tulia Trust continues to strengthen community health through its Health Insurance Programme, which provides free medical insurance coverage to vulnerable citizens in Mbeya City.
In the most recent major distribution held on 27 February 2025 at Ruanda Nzovwe Grounds from 3:00 a.m., the initiative—led by Hon. Dr. Tulia Ackson, Member of Parliament for Mbeya Urban, Speaker of the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania, and President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU)—supported 9,000 residents with free health insurance. The programme marked the sixth season of this impactful community intervention.
Building on this success, Tulia Trust is preparing to continue the initiative in 2026, reaffirming its long-term commitment to improving access to healthcare and protecting families from the financial burden of medical expenses.
